Personally I find triangles much more pleasing to the eye.
It’s time for us to journey beyond our perception of euclidian space time. It’s time we shut the door on the simple shows of the past, that dealt with complex, 3 dimensional shapes. It’s finally time to take a look at what might be both the most simple and yet also the most complex two dimensional shape: The Circle. It’s Into the Circle, written by Jeremy Burnham and Trevor Ray and aired on January 10, 1977.

I think I saw this on a repeat run in the 1980s. Don’t remember much about this series except for the cliffhanger to the second last episode of the stones becoming alive and moving statues(I hope I spelt that right). It is possible I am confusing this with another serial entirely.
Here in the UK you got to remember that up till the early 1980s we only had three TV stations to choose from, BBC1, BBC2 and ITV. Until Channel 4 started on November 2nd 1982 we only had one commercial TV station. So programmes would go to an advert break with a caption saying end of part 1. I guess TV exec. in those days thought the viewers were stupid and wouldn’t realise the transition from actual programme to adverts had happened?
Super Gran if you ever decide to cover it was filmed near where I live in the north east of England in Sunderland even though it was made by one of the Scottish regions of ITV in the mid to late 80s. The theme music was by the stand up comic Billy Connolly. I used to own the 7″ picture single. I think it was a top 10 hit too.
Seems I am confusing this with another serial. Just watched the entire series on YouTube and I don’t think I have seen this before.
