It is.

We need to look inside ourself this week. Like deep inside, to the parts ourselves that we never show to the light. Where the cobwebs are. Where my little spider friend Steve lives, killing any flies that make their way in. Hey Steve, hope you’ve been having a good time in there. Nice cobwebs! It’s Into the Dalek, written by Steven Moffat and Phil Ford and aired on August 30, 2014.

249: Step Up Your Sarcasm Game (Deep Breath)

The fourth sequel to the Step Up series.

I was really hoping that this would be episode 250 but none of the numbering worked out for it to be so. I guess episode 250 is just awkwardly going to be the second episode of this season, which would probably bother some people but I’m pretty unconcerned. I’m bummer, to be sure, but nothing more than that. It’s Deep Breath, written by Steven Moffat and aired on August 23, 2014.

Audio 13: Jedicopter (The Sentinels of the New Dawn)

Only “Senator” Palpatine knows how to do the secret jedicopter move.

This week Kiyan and Dylan have created a new world order. Turns out that was our plan all along for this podcast, we were going to use it to start this new world order thing. Not sure what we’re going to do with it now, stay tuned. It’s The Sentinels of the New Dawn, written by Paul Finch and released April 2011. The Sentinels of the New Dawn can be purchased for $8 (or your local equivalent) on Big Finish’s website.

49: Don’t Massacre Races, Kids (The Krotons)

The best plans are foolproof from all angles – Kiyan, 2014

This week Kiyan and Dylan watched The Krotons, not to be confused with the salad topping, croutons. They believe this to pretty middle of the road quality wise. Could this be a sign of things to come? The Krotons was written by Robert Holmes and was aired in December of 1968 and January of 1969. Also this is our final episode of 2014! This week Kiyan and Dylan watched only the first 4 episodes of The Invasion. They did this because that although they claim they have a TARDIS, they actually do not, and therefore have a limited amount of time during the week to watch episodes. The Invasion was written by Peter Bryant and the first 4 episodes aired in November of 1968. Like the Moonbase and The Wheel in Space, it was based on an idea by Kit Pedler.

Super Ep. 1: Who Designs Something Like That?

Yeah, who thinks a super cut episode is a good idea?

This super episode is a super cut of Episodes 19, 21, and 22, which correspond to Mission to the Unknown and The Daleks’ Master Plan parts 1 and 2. Basically all 3 episodes have been condensed down into 1. Both serials were written by Terry Nation, and Mission to the Unknown was aired on Oct 9th, 1965, and The Daleks’ Master Plan was aired from November 1965 through January of 1966.

Season 6 begins with The Dominators. Kiyan and Dylan thus discuss this serial, as well as some exciting news for Trust Your Doctor! The Dominators was written by Marvyn Haisman and Henry Lincoln under the pseudonym Norman Ashby. It was aired in August and September of 1968.

43: Never Take Advice From an Oceanographer (Fury from the Deep)

On the other hand, I hear they get pretty deep.

Fury from the Deep was so bad that after Kiyan and Dylan talked about it for an hour the podcast episode refused to save properly and allow them to spread this knowledge to the world. And yet here’s the episode, rerecorded and reconstructed in all it’s glory. The serial was written by Victor Pemberton and aired in March and April of 1968. Oh yeah, and Victoria leaves. Spoiler.
