19: The Writers Didn’t Know What They Were Doing (Mission to the Unknown)

Tangents are fun or something like that.

Kiyan and Dylan watched the only serial not to star the Doctor or any of his companions. It was also the only one episode serial in the classic series. As a result, Kiyan and Dylan go on a large Dalek timeline tangent in the middle of explaining the episode. Misison to the Unknown was written by Terry Nation and was aired on the 9th of October 1965.

This week Kiyan and Dylan watched The Chase, written by Terry Nation and aired in May and June of 1965. The serial saw the departure of Ian and Barbara, leaving only The Doctor from the original cast of the show.
