Firefly 14 – Objects in Space

Quote of the week: “The whole podcast is a sham held together by dreams.”

We’re almost at the end of Season 7 of Inevitable. Inevitable has already outlasted all of the shows we’ve watched on this show. Including Lexx. At least in terms of number of seasons, so take that, Lexx. It’s Objects in Space, written by Joss Whedon and aired on December 13, 2002

Show-notes:
0:42: This is our Abbey Road, I guess.
1:03: Lol no it won’t. (Editor’s note: ?)
3:24: Our episode on The Message did (confirmed) go out two weeks ago.
3:50: Speaking of Blake’s 7, check out our Blake’s 7 podcast, Zenith: A Blake’s 7 Podcast.
11:29: Rick and Morty did this in the episode Morty’s Mind Blowers, but it was also done earlier on the show Community, in Paradigms of Human Memory.
1:56: First instance of the word BAMF since about 2010 probably.
16:27: This is pretty close to what happens in Serenity (the movie) actually.
33:20: Jasper Fforde actually has an “upgrade” page for every book he’s published (including Shades of Grey)
51:20: You can’t make this sh*t up.
59:23: Cowboy Bebop was recently canceled by Netflix… wait, wrong Cowboy Bebop. (Editor’s note: No, that was the right one.)
1:04:50 Avon’s former lover was named Anna Grant.
1:12:59: We talked about the “sci-fi-ness” of The Prisoner on our Arrival episode.
